藤井博巳は、グリッドを使用して建築・空間・人間につい て探究をつづけた建築家です。
Hiromi Fujii was an architect who continuously explored architecture, space, and the human condition through the use of the grid.
現実的な物としてつくるために、グリッドを一つのパラダイム（範例）として使いながら制作します。それは切断というよりは置換（シフト）です。（中略）それは、より具体的な作業現場に見られるような、「仮設」をつくることに似ています。こうした「仮設」をつくる一つの手段として、グリッドがあると考えています。（中略）そこでは互いの対話が産みだされるような、そのような役割を果たすものです。重要なのは対話──他者との対話を創り出すことなのではないかと思います。 （ 2020.6.13 インタビューより抜粋）

1964〜68 イタリア・イギリス留学
1968 藤井博巳建築研究室 開設
芝浦工業大学 建築工学科 講師
1977〜80 早稲田大学 建築学科 非常勤講師
1981〜2003 芝浦工業大学 建築工学科 教授
1987 ハーバード大学 客員
1994〜2003 芝浦工業大学 国際交流センター長
2003 モスクワ建築アカデミーより名誉博士号授与
2004 芝浦工業大学 名誉教授
